For referring dentists

Why dentists refer to MWDS

Dentists, dental auxillaries, and other health care workers can refer patients to a dental specialist. Complex, difficult treatment, or more routine treatment for patients with high expectations will often be referred to a dental specialist. The role of dental specialists is not to act as a substitute for general dental care, but to work in unison with the general practitioner to achieve the very best outcomes for our patients.

Who has access to Midwestern Dental Specialists

The team at Midwestern Dental Specialists provide support to western Victoria and eastern South Australia.

Referral procedure

Referrals to Midwestern Dental Specialists can be in the form of an individualised letter drafted by the referrer, or a completed referral form. Referral forms are available in the links below, or copies of the referral pads and business cards can be sent to your practice upon request. Please contact reception if you would like to request additional referral pads or cards.

Please try to ensure that the referral (and any relevant radiographs if possible) is made available to MWDS as soon as possible in order to allow us to accommodate your valued patients in the most efficient way.
